Cascada Earrings
Gorgeous tagua earrings carefully dyed and carved leaving a bit of the natural nut appearance! These are designed with a waterfall appearance giving them their Spanish name of Cascada!
Carefully crafted by artisans in Ecuador!
What is tagua? Tagua is a seed, or often called a nut, produced by a type of palm that is found in South America. This incredibly durable vegetable ivory is a beautiful, sustainable resource artisans use to craft jewelry and many other trinkets. The artisans harvest, dye and carve the tagua into various designs resulting in beautiful gifts.
Our artisan partners in Ecuador are not just artisans - they are our friends. We share meals together, play with their children and stay the night in their homes. Our deepest desire it to support their small business so that they can continue to provide a healthy lifestyle for their families - putting food on their table and allowing their children to receive an education. In addition to providing an international marketplace for these gifted artisans, Costa Sierra also provides educational scholarships and meal programs for families living in extreme poverty who are at high-risk of sex trafficking and exploitation.
Thank you for joining us in investing in their lives!
